26 immigrants were rescued off the coast of Çeşme

26 irregular migrants pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements off the Çeşme district of İzmir were rescued by the Coast Guard teams.

Coast Guard Command teams took action after receiving information that there was a group of irregular migrants in life rafts off the Çeşme district.

A total of 26 irregular migrants in 2 life rafts, which were found to be left in Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements, were rescued by the assigned Coast Guard boat.

Irregular migrants landed were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after health checks and procedures.
