As of July 1, 9,959 cubic meters of mucilage has been cleared as part of the mucilage mobilization in the Sea of Marmara.
Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum shared on his social media account.
The institution said that they continue to work in 565 regions as of July 1 in the mucilage campaign in the Marmara Sea.
Expressing that a total of 9,959 cubic meters of mucilage was disposed of with 565 cubic meters of mucilage collected on the 24th day of the mucilage cleaning campaign, the Institution explained:
“As of July 1, 5 thousand 421 cubic meters of mucilage in Istanbul, 476 cubic meters in Kocaeli, 166 cubic meters in Bursa, 154 cubic meters in Tekirdağ, 811 cubic meters in Balıkesir, 911 cubic meters in Çanakkale, 2 thousand 20 cubic meters in Yalova. We collected it from the Marmara Sea and sent it to landfills.
In our mucilage campaign, we continued our inspections without slowing down; We have completed 8 thousand 118 inspections, we have imposed an administrative fine of 16 million 36 thousand TL on businesses that violate the legislation, we examined 2 thousand 180 waste water samples.”
