Stating that exports were made to 125 countries from the Eastern Black Sea Region in 8 months, Kalyoncu said:
“The top 5 exporting countries are Italy, Russian Federation, Germany, People’s Republic of China and Georgia, respectively. Exports from these countries to Italy increased by 34 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, and to the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. As can be seen from the recently announced second quarter growth rates of the Turkish economy, the 10.8 percent contribution of exports of goods and services to the growth rate clearly demonstrates how important exports are for our country’s economy. Similar to the high contribution of our exports to the growth rates, the biggest added value for the Eastern Black Sea economy is provided by the export item.”
