British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab announced that British warships will continue to use the route off the Crimea, which has caused tensions between Russia and Britain.
A warning shot was fired by Russia against the British Navy warship HMS Defender, which was approaching the Crimea in the Black Sea on 23 June.
Following the tension between Russia and Britain, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab stated that British warships will continue to use the route used by HMS Defender off the Crimea.
“HMS Defender was using the shortest and most direct route. It is an internationally recognized traffic route. According to international law, we have the right to pass through Ukrainian territorial waters harmlessly. We will continue to do so,” Raab said.
On the other hand, the British side denied that Russia fired a warning shot at HMS Defender.
