In May 2018 Nathan purchased a RHIB for about $ 80,000. On July 31st, his brother, Canoe champion Nathan Baggaley, his brother and a third person met with RHIB on a ship off Queensland. The crew, who took 650 kilograms of cocaine from the staff on board, started bringing the drugs to another ship.
The meeting was spotted by the Australian authorities and a team of the Royal Australian Navy took action. Nathan Baggaley’s brother Dru threw the cocaine into the sea while fleeing from the authorities.
Queensland Marine Police boat caught the boat carrying drugs as it approached the shore. Meanwhile, the navy team removed about 600 kilograms of drugs from the sea.
