The duration of the seafarers’ book, seafarer qualification certificate, STCW certificates and health examination certificates issued by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Maritime Affairs has been extended until June 30 for seamen abroad.
According to the information obtained from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, the institution sent a letter to the relevant institutions and organizations as well as the port authorities regarding the decisions taken within the scope of combating the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic.
In this context, the seafarers’ booklet, seafarer qualification certificate, and STCW certificates issued to seafarers will be valid until June 30 for seafarers who are abroad.
