KOSKEM teams opened the sea season


KOSKEM, which works within the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, saved 94 people from drowning. KOSKEM teams, which serve at determined times 7 days a week, make great efforts for citizens to cool down and have fun in safety.

94 personnel working on the shores of Kocaeli had brought 1870 people back to life in 2020.

Citizens are constantly warned by the teams to pay attention to rip currents.

SERVICE IS AVAILABLE 7 DAYS A WEEK

Kocaeli Water Accidents Prevention Center (KOSKEM), which works under the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, is still on duty during the summer season. Lifeguards provide service 7 days a week to prevent the safety of the citizens who go to the sea to cool off in Kandıra and Marmara. The sea season will end on September 15.

11 BEACH LIFEGUARD SERVICE

The lifeguards, who have been on duty on the beaches, will be on a weekly basis on 11 beaches, including Karamürsel Altınkemer, Darıca Bayramoğlu public beach and Ladies Beach in the Gulf of Izmit, and the Bağırganlı, Seyrek, Sarısu, Kerpe, Kumcagiz, Kovanağzı, Miço Bay and Cebeci public beaches in Kandıra throughout the season. It will serve 7 days a week between 10:00 and 18:00.

KOSKEM teams constantly warn the citizens to enter the sea on the beaches where lifeguard services are provided and to pay attention to the rip currents.
