Singh Girish Kailash, who fell into a ship’s tank in the Dardanelles, died

Singh Girish Kailash, the inspector (quality control officer) who fell into the tank while he was checking the tank of the ship named ‘Aries Sun’, which was waiting for its turn in the Dardanelles, lost his life.

Tank cleaning was carried out while the Liberian flagged tanker named ‘Aries Sun’, 244 meters long, with the flag of Liberia, was waiting for the passage of the Dardanelles, off Bozcaada, from the New Magnalore Port of India to the Tuzla Shipyard in Istanbul.

Company inspector Singh Girish Kailash (50), who went down to check the cleaned tank, fell inside the tank for an as yet undetermined reason.

The body of the inspector who died at the scene was sent to Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after the investigation by the public prosecutor at the scene.
