The leak from the oil tanker that sank off the Port of Aden continues


It was stated that the spill, which spread after the sinking of the oil tanker Diya, off the coast of Aden Port, harmed the environment. It was stated that the pollution reached as far as the Al-Husva Nature Reserve.

The Yemeni government stated that the spill, which occurred after the sinking of the oil tanker Diya, off the Aden Port, harmed the environment.

According to the Yemeni official agency SABA, Prime Minister Muin Abdulmalik discussed the reports submitted regarding the shipwreck off the Aden Port and the legal measures taken during his phone conversations with the Minister of Transport Abdusselam Hamid and the Minister of Environment Tevfik al-Shercebi.

In the report, which includes the damage caused by the leakage, it was stated that the pollution reached as far as the Al-Husva Nature Reserve.

PRIME MINISTER GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS

Prime Minister Abdulmalik instructed that necessary measures should be taken urgently to eliminate environmental pollution and prevent a similar incident from recurring.

The Ministry of Transport of Yemen announced on July 18 that the oil tanker “Diya” sank off the coast of Aden Port in the south of the country.
